Mallory Park

The new season gets underway on the 26th April at Mallory Park. The meeting will include two races for the Porsche 924 Championship with a strong entry including many returning front runners and some newcomers to the championship.

Will Penrose is returning for another shot at the title and must be one of the favourites, as is Matt Upchurch who took fastest laps in both races at last year’s Mallory Park rounds. Many of the returning drivers have new cars this year and it will be interesting to see if this improves their performances or if new car gremlins will strike!

Other major news for the championship is the disappointing last minute cancellation of the Donington meeting on 2nd/3rd May. The Porsche 924 Championship has not raced at the circuit for a number of years and the meeting was keenly anticipated by competitors, however track problems have caused the abandonment of the meeting on safety grounds. Fortunately, Rockingham is available that weekend so the entire meeting has moved to the circuit. This means that the second round of the BRSCC Porsche 924 Championship will now be held at Rockingham on 2nd/3rd May.
