The 2009 season is looking like a good one for the Porsche 924 Championship.

The championship will be visiting a number of circuits it hasn't been to for some time, including Donington Park and Rockingham, while old favourites such as Brands Hatch and Anglesey are on the calendar again. A number of drivers are leaving the series but have already been replaced by new faces who are confirmed as racing next season. It  is expected that the number of cars on the grid will increase from 2008 which was itself one of the best supported years for the championship.

If racing a Porsche 924  sounds like it might interest you, get in touch with Andy Davies, the championship Coordinator.

The 2008 BRSCC 924 Championship Awards Dinner has been held in Coventry. Matt Davies, the 2008 Champion (pictured above with his championship winning car) was presented with his trophy. Many others were presented with awards for their achievements during the year during a hugely enjoyable evening, when the firm friendships developed during a season's motor racing were renewed in a relaxing environment away from the circuits.

Ernie Cheetham (pictured below) was warmly applauded for his years of hard work and dedication to the championship. Ernie is stepping down as coordinator but everyone agrees that it is his influence that has created the friendly and enjoyable 924 Championship. Ernie will still be around as Chairman of the Porschedrivers Association.
