Steve Cheetham Wins Mallory

Steve Cheetham had a convincing win at Mallory with the nearest opposition on the opening rounds being Ryan Hooker. Steve was winning 4 seconds in round 1 and 3 seconds in round 2.

" im absolutely delighted with the outcome of the opening round as this year I will be really pushing to win the championship" said Steve Cheetham. Steve is the longest serving 924 Championship driver with 9 years under his harness.

Phill Hatswell came 3rd in both rounds. Surprise results came from new comer Paul Bainbridge finishing fifth and forth in only his first season of racing as a novice driver.

David Frankland sported new Gulf Colours in qualifying and the second race but due to a wheel falling off in qualifying failed to start round one.

Tim Cheedle and Colin Clough booth fell foul of some spilled coolant that had found its way in their path with Tim (driving last years winning car) crashing at approximately 90-100mph into the back of colin. Colin was rushed to the medical centre with concussion but both drivers have vowed to be back for Castle Combe or Pembray as soon as lodge sports can procure either new cars or reshell the old ones.
