New Sponsors Toast 924-Returnee

With the start of the new race season just around the corner, long-standing PDA driver, Adam Croft, has announced that he will be making a return to the Porsche 924 Class where he first started out on his motor racing journey.  Backing his 2015 campaign will be two new associated sponsors, Champagne Warehouse and Fine Drinks Cooperative.

Based in Wetherby in North Yorkshire, the two companies specialise in the import, wholesale and distribution of champagnes, fine wines, beers and spirits from around the world, selling exclusive products into the on-trade market (bars and restaurants) and to discerning private clients.

The support of Adam’s racing activities in 2015 is their first foray into motorsport sponsorship, with the companies seeking to leverage the opportunity via social media channels and corporate entertainment packages.

Adam’s number 59 Porsche 924 race car, which will be hired and run through a joint venture between long-time Championship supporters Tyres (South Shore) Limited and Victoria Garage, will carry the branding of both Fine Drinks Cooperative and Champagne Warehouse during the season.

Barry Groves and Tony Stones, owners and directors of both businesses said: ‘We are delighted to be taking this first step into motorsport sponsorship, and especially with Adam, whose progress we followed with interest last season. We are confident that he will represent our brands with distinction in the Porsche Championship and we look forward to enjoying the season with him.’

On the partnership with the drinks experts, Croft said: ‘Following three consecutive seasons in the Boxsters, 2015 initially had been looking like a sabbatical year for me, but I’m really excited to now be returning to my roots in the 924s following the generous backing of Champagne Warehouse and Fine Drinks Cooperative. I hope to be able to deliver excellent value for both businesses during the season, and look forward to re-visiting some old rivalries on track, whilst also going up against the quick new kids on the block in the 924 class!’

Further information on the services and products of Fine Drinks Cooperative and Champagne Warehouse can be found on their websites: www.finedrinks.co.uk and www.champagnewarehouse.com . Any potential enquiries for either can be directed through Adam Croft in the first instance.
