Styrin Steps Down

Having won the Class A Championship two seasons in a row, and having set a new record for number of wins in a season in 2013, Rick Styrin has announced he is stepping down from racing in the new year. Having dominated the racing, often winning by considerable margins, 2014 will see stiff competition from those wishing to take Rick's place. The addition of "success ballast", as employed in the British Touring Car Championship, in the Race Boxsters will see racing even closer still.

The photo shows Rick talking to PDA part-timer Ian Loggie (whose company The Logson Group were series sponsor in 2012) is also moving on, to face a new racing challenge - the Blancpain endurance series, in an Audi R8. Ian's shared drives in 2013 brought great success in both GT Cup and Britcar in a Porsche 997 Cup.
