Injury forces leader to skip round

Styrin Skips Snetterton

Will Sharpe (pictured) will be one of the drivers looking to cash in on the absence of current Class A Championship leader at our next round. July 13/14th sees the Toyo Tires Porsche drivers head to Norfolk for two races over what promises to be a somewhat drier weekend than we experienced in 2012 where torrential rain on both days very nearly scuppered the event. But a recent road accident has meant Rick Styrin will be absent, missing a potential 52 points and giving hope to title chasers like Will, Steven Boyles and Jonathan Greensmith who have all been visitors to the class podium already this season.

In the 924s, Will's brother Hen Sharpe will be bursting to return to racing having missed the Zandvoort round. He is currently 4th in class with Simon Hawlsley leading and Alastair Kirkham and Clive Morrison close behind, all within a handful of his points.

Bernie Printy will be looking to forget his Zandvoort misfortunes which so nearly put paid to his racing at the Dutch circuit. A serious collision with the Armco left his Class B Boxster with extensive damage and Bernie in the local hospital for examinations.

Snetterton will also see four completely new drivers in the paddock eager to chat to teams and drivers regarding the prearation of their cars - some looking to race with us later this year and other next year. Popular long-term Championship competitors Andrew Hannington and Sean Siddall will also make their return, Andrew in a 924 and Sean stepping up to a Class A Boxster.
