Anglesey Race Preview

Battle resumes at Anglesey this weekend!

The BRSCC Porsche Championship rolls into Wales this weekend (26th / 27th June), for rounds 7 and 8 of the 2010 season at Anglesey’s Trac Mon.

The half way point of the Championship sees things going from strength to strength, with a 20 strong grid for the second race in succession. We welcome a 7th Boxster into the field, driven by Gerry Taylor, whilst Richard Styrin will be making his racing debut in the 924’s.

The situation is also hotting up in the Championship! In the 924’s, Alastair Kirkham is still sitting pretty at the top of the table, but the chasing pack of Andrew Hannington, Steve Brown and Adam Croft are desperate to reel him back in. Following his inspired win in the wet at Snetterton, Jayson Flegg is the man on the move in the standings, and Andrew’s debut win at Snetterton must make him a favourite for Anglesey, along with last year’s winner, Steve Brown.

In the Boxsters, Dave Clark has certainly made his intentions clear with three wins out of four races this season, but the top 4 Boxsters of Dave Hughes, Clark, Nick Hull and Snetterton winner Sean Cooper, are separated by just 10 points....all to play for!

Once again, it’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top around the 1.55mile ‘Coastal Circuit’ layout at Anglesey!

If you fancy coming along to enjoy the action, the timetable is as follows:

Saturday 26th June – 11.10am – Qualifying -20 mins

Saturday 26th June – 2.30pm – Race 1 – 20 mins

Sunday 27th June – 1.45pm – Race 2 – 20 mins
