Snetterton Race Preview

Bumper grid expected at Snetterton this weekend!

The BRSCC Porsche Championship rolls into Snetterton in Norfolk this weekend (29th / 30th May) for rounds 5 & 6 of the season.

The Porsche Boxsters will be welcoming new entrants Richard Sykes and Martin Braybrook, taking their total number to 6 (with a further two expected for the next round at Anglesey). Both Richard and Martin are raring to go, and have their sights firmly set on the early round pace setters of Nick Hull and Dave Clark.

The Porsche 924 class will also be boasting its largest grid of 2010, with a total of 14 drivers registered for the Snetterton weekend. Competition will be as fierce as ever, with a number of drivers aiming to stop the rampant Championship charge of Alistair Kirkham who has taken victory in 3 of the 4 races so far this season. The racing will be tight throughout the field with the likes of Paul Bravo, Richard Jones, Mark McKenzie and Shaun Siddal all fighting over ‘Top Rookie’ status!

Snetterton is a fast and furious, 7 corner track, over 1.9 miles, with Revett Straight calling for out and out grunt, whilst Corum curve really separates the men from the boys and holds the key to a good laptime. With the Championship visiting the circuit for the first time in over 2 years, and changeable weather forecast, it’s anyone’s guess who the winners and losers from the weekend will be!

We hope to see you there!
