Ryan Motorsport Insurance are one of two new companies to be providing support for our championship for the 2017 season. Managing Director Ryan Mone founded the company 15 years ago to provide an exceptional level of service with competitive premiums for their clients. Being based in the City of London, they are ideally placed to access wide array of markets in this hub of the insurance world.
Autosport Apparel will be our official suppliers of clothing for the new season. All drivers receive a jacket as part of their registration for the Championship but for the first time, other items of approved clothing will be available including hats and shirts. Their products are ethically sourced using premium quality fabrics - all of their products are made using environmentally friendly or recycled materials.
In a first for the PDA, Toyo Tires have signed a contract for three years as tyre official supplier for the Championship - the biggest commitment a main sponsor has made to us - with supply of our R888R tyres continuing to come through Tyres (South Shore) Ltd of Blackpool. Jasmine Porshalink have also renewed their relationship, taking the door number spot and continuing to supply vital parts to us in the paddock throughout the year. Jasmine keep a massive stock of Porsche parts for all models and make regular orders for new parts direct from Germany and we are very grateful for their continuing presence.
Hartech will again be our Boxster engine specialists. Formed in 1984, their reputation for in-depth knowledge of the Porsche 3.2 litre M.96 engine our Boxsters employ is second to none. We're also happy to receive continued financial support from Wharfside - an independant electrical wholesaler with two braches both in Milton Keynes and Bedford, supplying a large percentage of the market in the MK area as well as much of the surrounding counties.
To all of our sponsors and partners, we are very gratful for your support for the year ahead.
The Links Country Park Hotel in Cromer, Norfolk will shortly host our annual awards dinner. Owned by ex-PDA racer Mark Mackenzie, the hotel offers superb accommodation in beautiful surroundings and now boasts its own indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and gym. After some friendly karting at a local circuit, we will likely again witness the levels of "dad dancing" our drivers sadly exhibit.
It's hard to believe that there's a cost effective Porsche racing series - but this successful championship really is!
