Linda Looks to Follow Form at Rockingham

Linda Looks to Follow Form at Rockingham

Currently the championship's only lady racer, Linda Warren has slowly but surely been climbing the championship tables since her PDA debut in 2012. Landing her first podium at Brands Hatch in August last year, Linda has attended track days to receive coaching from nearby double Boxster title winner Rick Styrin and at our first round of 2016, at Snetterton, Linda stunned everyone with a 2nd place in all three races.

Together with husband Guy, the couple run WGC Landscapes - a specialist landscape contractor based in Harrogate. Linda and Guy's son attends Springwater School, a special school for children with a variety of different learning needs, and the Championship have adopted Springwater as their nominated charity for thi year - you'll see the school logo stickers (kindly sponsored by HACS Groundworks) on cars from our Rockingham round.

Fine Drinks Cooperative joined us for the 2015 season, kindly supplying fastest lap awards but also supporting Adam Croft on his return to 924s. Director Barry Groves has obviously been bitten by the racing bug because not only will the company provide extra prize incentives this year, they are also expanding their sponsorship of 924 drivers to include Linda who now rents Adam's car through Tony Mekwinski for the new season.

The Fine Drinks awards at our first round, at Snetterton last month, went to:

  • Boxster Driver of the Weekend: shared by Rick Styrin & Ed Hayes
  • 924 Driver of the Weekend: Pip Hammond
  • Team Support of the Weekend: Team Archer
