Looking forward into 2016

Looking forward into 2016

As we approach a new season of Porsche racing, a number of drivers have already declared intentions for 2016.

Leighton Buzzard rivals Richard Avery and Garry Lawrence will no doubt do battle at the front of the Class A Boxsters, close on the heels of 2015 winner Ed Hayes. Adam Southgate will be there too in the white and orange 986, along with championship chairman Nick Hull in one of the few 987s.

Angus Archer will be joined by two family members, both race newcomers, with cousin Felix and uncle Stephen Archer sharing a 987 Boxster on the Class A grid; from success in the Stock Hatch championship comes Pip Hammond.

With the semi-retirement - at least for this season - of Adam Croft, thanks to the arrival of his second child, the 924 title opens up for drivers committing to a full season. Likely to be on the podium for a good many finishes will be Teddington-based Niz El-Chamaa. Lady racer Linda Warren will also return and no doubt continue the improvement she showed in 2015.

We open our new season with three races at Snetterton on 2nd and 3rd of April.
