924 rear dampers

Postby Adam Southgate » Sun Jan 15, 2012 7:09 pm

Hi All,

I'm in need of two decent rear dampers. Either Ledas or Gaz will be fine, anyone willing to sell some spares?

Also, does anyone know the suggested ignition timing for a piper'ed engine?

Finally, i'm still after that adaptor bit that goes between the main fuel line and the filter - any ideas?

Thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,

Set the ignition timing to standard as a starting point, and then get the car on a rolling road. All engines are different, and a good rolling road operator will be able to optomise the ignition timing with the cam timing. I spent ages messing about trying different settings, two hours on a rolling road was worth double what I paid.

Sorry cant help with the dampers, but the adapter should be available from any good motorsport suppliers.

Adam if you're going to a rolling road forget about Bob Watson. I went there and got charged a fortune and they did bugger all. I recommend Neil Harvey, really knows his stuff and way cheaper.
