audi 5 speed gearbox wanted

Hi all

I need an audi 5 speed gearbox for my 924, does anyone have a spare one for sale or know where I can get one?

which models was that particular gearbox fitted to?

any info will be appreciated

HI Paul,

Just get a one from a 924. I may be wrong, but I think that when people describe the gearbox as Audi, its because it uses Audi internals. The alternative was a ZF of course.

You want as late a version as possible, with the updated reverse detent. Also make sure that it is a five speed, early cars were four speed, and also make sure that its from a 924, the 944 gearbox looks the same but has a larger input shaft.
