Re: Boxster Production Class

I don't think separating another class would help anyone. A bolt-In MSA cage would lower the entry bar considerably though and let the cars be kept more road drivable. Installing the FIA cage means the car is basically race only forever. It would create two options for the class. Bolt in if you neve...

Re: Oil starvation prevention...

Some have the baffle and deep sump kit.
Most nothing.
No one has accusump as far as I know. Really only going to be needed on slicks - which we don't have.

Re: Race Marquee

Thanks. Rock ones priced really good.

Is everyone using 6x3m ones or is a 4.5x3m ok. I suspect the whole car won't really fit under the latter with room to work on it.

Race Marquee

I've come to the conclusion I need one.

What size/quality to most people have?
- 3m x 4.5m or 3m x 6m.
- 40mm or 60mm Aluminum posts.

Storage size is crucial as we don't have a van only a 4x4 to load it in.

If anyone wants to part with one, let me know.

thanks

Re: Pad Fade at Zolder

I notice the design911 are stocking titanium heat pads for our brakes. A potential way to reduce heat transfer from the pad/disc into the caliper and fluid and also to prevent having to throw away 1/2 used pads all the time. Explanation here --> hardbrakes.com An option to explore? Though...

Re: Pad Fade at Zolder

Rockingham will be another big test for brakes. Esp if the current weather holds. It is a fact the all the boxsters will need to manage thier brakes (ie brake earlier) at some point in the race into turn 1. (125mph+ to 40mph). We know that heavier ABS use makes that point in time come sooner. Those ...

Re: Mintex part number

From the 2013 regs..........Mintex Racing / Questmead Front Pads Part Number: MDB2038F2R and Rear Pads Part Number: MDB1874F2R

You have to phone Questmead and ask for them.

Re: full fat boxster

Given the no. Of cars available, I would suggest its a buyer's market.
Set your price and see how low people are willing to go!
